DPS Evaluation

This is my DPS. I have gone for a main central image with a short interview. also with small images capturing the band. One criticism I have of this is that the interview may be slightly too short. If I were to do this again I would include a longer interview.

Contents Page Evaluation

This is my contents page. On the bottom is the first version, and on the top is the final version where I have used all original images. From lookin at te first and then the second, you can see how I have tried to recreate the images as best as possible. My personal favourite is the top right image of 'Lostprophets'. I feel I have captured the image almost perfect and this one is the most effective. My least favourite is the re capturing of Foo Fighters Dave Grohl. the background lets it down, if I were to do it again I would set him in a iffernt place.

Front Cover Evaluation

This is my font cover. On the left is the first version and on the right is the second version using only original images. Comparing them both you can see the idea I was going for and then how it actually turned out.

Mock Front Cover Evaluation

This is my mock front cover. This is what I intended my front cover to look like. This shows some of the ideas I had before starting the production phase.

Pre-lim task Evaluation

This is my Preliminary front cover task. Overall I feel this is a bad attempt at the task and to using photoshop. However using this as a learning curve my skills and understanding of photoshop have improved greatly. The main problem with this image is that all of the proportions are out and I havn't considered the rule of thirds a great deal. The fonts do not work on a front cover, they don't achieve the effect of a front cover and I am sure they could have been chosen better. As a whole this does not work as a front cover and does not reflect some of my better work. However it was good to learn from this and develop my skills even more.
